Frequently Asked Questions

We do not accept returns or offer refunds, and here is the reason why all sales are final. As you can imagine, shipping mirrors across the company is a tough task to tackle. While we know exactly how to package your mirror to make sure that it arrives at your doorstep in one piece, we cannot be sure that our customers are able to package them for return in the same fashion. As a result, our delicate, one-of-a-kind artwork will break in transit. These handmade designs are not mass-produced and cannot be easily re-created, which is why we encourage you to make sure that you absolutely love your piece before purchase.

Absolutely – we love a challenge! Email your ideas to us at contact@glassraw.com and let’s get started!

If you are located in the US, we ship our custom work with USPS (2-3 day). For our customers in Canada and France, we use USPS (10-14 day). We are extra cautious and careful during packaging to make sure that your piece does not break due to negligence on our end. (Of course, if USPS is careless, we cannot be responsible for breakage on their end!) We use recycled packing materials when possible for a green-friendly approach.

Was your custom mirror somehow broken in your home? Yikes! Don’t worry about bad luck – just reach out to us and we might be able to do a repair for an additional fee. You assume responsibility for shipping both ways.

**For our NYC customers, we provide a local Brooklyn pickup option. With this option, we refund the cost of shipping.

Pickup is available at 6224 15th Ave, Brooklyn, NY 11209.

The magical flair of each of our custom mirrors and suncatchers is specially made by hand in our studio. While professionals are responsible for the careful selection process and safe-handling of your mirror, due to the nature of stained glass, some sections might have bubbles, dents, or a scratch after completion. These inevitable “imperfections” are oftentimes only noticeable with close inspection. Think of them as reminders of the time and effort put into each handmade piece. Embrace the beauty of perfectly imperfect.

This happens for two main reasons. First, this is because our pieces are handmade, of course! Each of our custom framed mirrors is unique from the last – no worries. Secondly – we are usually able to duplicate the colors from the photo on your stained glass mirror, but sometimes the manufacturer discontinues the glass that you see. When this happens, we have to create a similar glass. The new glass might be slightly different from the photo, but as artistic glass experts, we do our very best to make your finished product as close to the original picture as possible. Any questions or concerns? Just let us know and we will gladly help!

We use premium 60/40 lead solder with a trifecta of stained glass, mirror, and black or copper patina. Because we use lead, just wash your hands after mounting your piece for safe-handling and voila!
